Bachelor Quarters

These apartments were built as quarters for Chinese workers in the early part of the Twentieth Century. The Chinese gradually left town and after the Second World War, there were hardly any of the old population left. These units are located in the heart of downtown and are now considered fairly "hip" (does anyone still use that term?) by the young crowd.

Flowers at Lunch

More flowers at lunch. Taken and processed with my iPhone while waiting for my Shalhoob Burger.

I still think it's pretty cool to be able to take and process a picture on my telephone and then post it to my blog with the same telephone -- sort of a digital "Look, Ma! No hands!!" experience. I don't know why the process won't let me pick my own title. It always posts with "Multimedia Message". Not cool at all. So, the next time I'm at my desktop, I have to log-on and change the title. Bummer.

Orchids
